User Manual - e-Builder at MIT

e-Builder users can review e-Builder @ MIT Terminology and read the e-Builder @ MIT Basic Skillsmanual. T. Information is edited and added frequently as e-Builder continues to be rolled out in stages. The manual covers skills that all e-Builder users should know and has been tailored to reflect MIT's e-Builder implementation.

The manual can be read on line, or you can print the manual or just selected pages by exporting and printing in PDF format. The option to export to PDF is on the Tools menu. The links below allow you to navigate directly to the major sections of the manual.

 

Hints and Tips

Use Single Sign-On!

No need to to remember another password for e-Builder. Use e-Builder Single Sign On!

 

Processes support specific MIT workflows that have been custom built into e-Builder. Much of your work within e-Builder will happen after you receive a notification that a process or workflow requires your review or action. Click the link to learn more about processes.

Keep in mind that when you are performing tasks specific to your role, what you see on an e-Builder page and your ability to work with certain information or fields is different than that seen by other roles.

e-Builder User Community Site

This site is for MIT e-Builder users. It contains documentation and other information to help users navigate and use e-Builder to contribute to and manage projects.

The site is still being developed. For now only information that supports the limited activities being performed in e-Builder is visible. As more activities are moved to e-Builder additional supporting documentation and training will be available.

 

Search the Community

 

Search the e-Builder community for specific information. For example, to find information about the New User process you can search for New User.

  • Go to Project "99974-z e-B User Experience"
  • In the left column click on Forms
  • Select the "MIT e-Builder Feedback" form
  • Fill in the information
  • Click "Post Form" to submit
