Scenario

Jimmy Saunders is a star freshman on the MIT varsity team. This afternoon, Jimmy came into the training with moderate pain in the back of his knee after getting chop blocked during a football drill. Jimmy has some swelling and pain walking. Richard, the football athletic trainer, tells Jimmy to hop up on a seat and Richard diagnoses the injury. Richard concludes that he strained two muscles that will require three weeks of rehabilitation and physical therapy.

The following afternoon Richard finds twenty minutes in his busy day to design the physical therapy program for Jimmy and three other athletes. He recalls a similar injury and exercise regimen for Bobby Bean, but Richard cannot remember the exact exercises he prescribed. Richard logs into the training room program and pulls up the exercises for Bobby Bean. Richard quickly modifies the program to include several new exercises. He also notices several great exercises that Philine, another athletic trainer, has recently prescribed and adds these to Jimmy's program. Richard easily finishes designing Jimmy's and the other three programs in the twenty minutes.

Richard's student trainer, Carlos, is in charge of supervising Jimmy through his physical therapy. Carlos has only been a student trainer for four days, and he is quite unfamiliar with the exercises. Luckily, Carlos can use the system to see the exercises and points of emphasis. Carlos becomes comfortable directing Jimmy and correcting his form. Within two weeks and way ahead of schedule, Jimmy is back to 100% healthy and can play football again.
