Design
The purpose of ShutterConnect is twofold:
- enables users to find and review photographers based on several criteria.
- allows photographers to create a profile page with their business information, thereby advertising themselves to potential customers.
To this effect, we have 3 main pages which are navigated by 3 states. At any given time, a surfer of the page is either
- not logged in
- logged in as a user
- logged in as a photographer.
All these states can view 3 pages
- a homepage, with a search bar to set the initial search criteria
- a search results page, which displays the results of the query and allows for tweaking of the results
- a photographer’s profile page, which gives a detailed overview of the photographer’s work and is editable if logged in as that photographer.
All the pages have a top horizontal bar that gives quick access to sign-in and homepage-redirect functionalities. A detailed discussion of the top bar and the 3 pages follows.
