Coordination duties of JulyAP and IAPril instruction programs will rotate.  Here's what to do if it's your turn:

Month and a half before JulyAP/IAPril:

  • Schedule DIRC for all Fridays in April or July from 11:30-1:30.  If you need more times, feel free to schedule into the next month, or schedule more than one per week.
  • Send an e-mail to ps-lib (is this the appropriate email list?) to ask for volunteers to teach classes.

Month before:

  • Make final schedule for classes.
  • Email schedule to instructors, and ask them to send you the title & description for their classes to include on promotional materials. Also mention that if they want a rover for their class, they should find one.
  • Think about refreshments, and arrange to have refreshments at each session.  (ESL: ask Ryan)

Few weeks before:

  • Make posters.  Examples & templates attached, or you can make your own. In the past, we've made one poster that lists all of the classes, as well as individual posters for each of the sessions.  (ESL: ask Ryan)

Week before:

  • Send posters to RISG members (is this appropriate??) to hang in libraries.
  • Advertise series on news blog. (ESL: ask Ryan)
  • Email spotlight-lib to advertise each session at the top of the home page.  (ESL: ask Ryan)
  • Email subspec-lib with the list of sessions, and ask them to forward the info to their departments.
  • Email instructors to remind them to bring surveys with them (attach the survey to the message), as well as to input statistics when they're done.

 During:

  • Make sure next event posters are hung after each session is over. (ESL: ask Ryan)
  • Add sessions to news blog. (ESL: ask Ryan)
  • No labels
