Thalia is a new image management and repository system being developed by IS&T. The client consists of a Flash-based user application making calls to the Thalia server via a REST API over HTTPS. The Thalia server will utilize an Alfresco repository for image and metadata storage.
Currently planned test elements include:
- performance testing of Alfresco repository with many (20k, 1M) small files
- functional testing of the Thalia server designed to test the complete REST API
- functional testing of the Thalia server using scenarios designed after typical use cases
- load/performance testing of the Thalia server using the two tests described above
Test elements not planned include:
- automated user-interface testing in a Flash-capable virtual browser environment
Repository testing will happen in the near future and is relevant to other Alfresco-based work. Testing at the REST API level is planned eventually though with an uncertain timeframe.
