Keyed Doors
Note: Only the key-coded doors you have access to will be shown below. If you need to see additional door codes, contact creit@mit.edu.
Key Copies
To get copies of the storage cabinet keys made, you can contact ULine or Commonwealth Lock Company in Porter Square, Cambridge.
There is a key stamp kit and hammer in the IT Toolbag used to number keys.
Card Access - Security Groups
Physical security/card access is controlled through physicalsecurity.mit.edu.
We control the card access to all CRE doors.
If you need access to any of the spaces on the fourth floor, contact Peggy Bryan.
Note: Corridor doors (like the one outside of 9-338) all have an even hundred number. The door outside 9-338 is 9-300CB New.
cre
The cre clearance group grants access to all CRE rooms on the third floor.
Membership:
Access (will soon be) controlled via Moira lists. The current groups that will have access are:
- crestaff
- crefac
- crestudents
cre-temp
cre-temp is for temporary users with an MIT ID that need access to a short period of time. It is recommended this list be reviewed once per month.
cre-9-554
This is to give access to the 5th floor cluster area so students can print up there.
Gatekeepers
Gatekeepers are employees who can control card access. The current gatekeepers can be found by going to physicalsecurity.mit.edu/clearances/gatekeepers/ and selecting the desired clearance group.
