Project Objective:
To release VMware workstation for Windows, Linux and VMware Fusion for the Macintosh and provide support for faculty, staff and students. The project will deliver test results and documentation for both end-users and support providers.nbsp;
Timeline:
The project kicked off in March of 2008. IS&T expects to announce support for Phase I during Q1 of FY09

- Licensing - VMware Licenses are available to all faculty, staff and students. At this time, IS&T recommends that only early adopters, those who are able to support themselves or their users, download and install VMware desktop products while we evaluate and test the software and provide documentation. They can be obtained at https://nic-too-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/cgi-bin/vmware. The site is expected to be opened to all faculty and staff after Thanksgiving. The installer will only be available for download.
