The e-Builder Contacts Module

e-Builder's contacts module provides a centralized directory of  Contacts for all of your projects. By storing the information in e-Builder you are able to Report on and view at a glance all of your cost and bidding information for each company and contact. Also, use this information with the Mail Merge feature to automatically merge existing contacts into your defined contract or invoice templates.

 The contacts module ties in with both the cost and bidding modules. Each commitment and cost is tied to a company stored in your Contacts. Vendor Synchronization with SAP

e-Builder does not provide out-of-the-box data integration with records of source. Upon implementation of e-Builder, vendor data from SAP was loaded into e-Builder to initialize the contacts module with common vendors the DOF uses through a manual import process built into e-Builder. It was then left that way for several years with sporadic manual data loads. This caused data inconsistencies due to the timing of the data loads and the flow of work. 

Vendor synchronization solves this problem with 2 automated jobs:

1) A nightly feed for all eB vendors by looking for changes ("deltas") that have occurred in the past 24 hours. 

2) A monthly feed that performs a complete refresh to catch any items that might have changed and were missed by "delta" sync performed nightly.

What do we send to SAP to synchronize data?

On nightly feeds, we send the company number and a date 

On monthly feeds we send the company number only
