BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Vista v4.3

- How to sync contacts between the BlackBerry 8830 and Vista via BlackBerry Desktop Manager v4.3
- Start off by installing BlackBerry Desktop Manager v4.3.
- Standard installation options will work fine.
- Once installation has finished, plug in you BlackBerry 8830 with the USB cable provider by your carrier.
- BlackBerry Desktop Manager should automatically detect your BlackBerry 8830, do the following...
- In BlackBerry Desktop Manager, below Options, click on Connection Settings.
- A Connection Settings window will appear, click on Detect. This will now scan you USB connection for the BlackBerry device.
- If successful you should receive a prompt stating "USB device found. PIN: XXXXXXXX". Then Press OK.
- Press Ok again in the Connection Settings Window.
- Now you should be ready to configure you contact synchronization. Click on Synchronize.
- A Synchronize window will appear, click on the Configuration tab on top. Then click on Configure Synchronization button.
- A window will apear asking what set of information you want to sync with your BlackBerry. For this setup, we will be configuring syncing of Contacts.
- In Windows Vista you have two options for contact sync. 1) Microsoft Office Outlook Address Book (If you use Microsoft Outlook for email, this would be a good option.) 2) Microsoft Outlook Express (Which syncs to Windows Contacts).
- Configuring for Microsoft Office Outlook Address Book.
- Select Microsoft Outlook.
- Synchronization options window will appear giving you different types of sync options.
- Select which type of sync you want.
