- From your Desktop, goto Start -> All Programs -> Accessories and select Remote Desktop Connection as shown below:
- When the Remote Desktop Connection panel is displayed, click on Show Options..
- Click on the Experience tab.
- From the drop down list, select WAN (10Mbps or higher with high latency).
- Verify that all the check boxes are checked. When you are satisfied that everything is correct, Click on the "General* tab.
- Enter the name of the Computer: and the User name: as shown below:

- For Education Systems VM's, the computer name will always be of the form esvm-XXX.mit.edu where XXX is a 3 digit number.
- The user name will always be esuser.

When you are satisfied that everything is correct, click the Connect button.
