  1. Open System Preferences from the Apple menu in the top left-hand corner in the menu pane, then click Printers and Scanners.
  2. Remove all printers old KI copiers (not including your home printer(s), if applicable) by left-clicking the printer, then left-clicking the minus sign. 
    Then, open Finder. Hold down the Option key and click Go in the top menu pane, then click Library, then Printers. Any remaining printer drivers from past installations are located there.
  3. Delete all folders (not including your home printer(s), if applicable). For departmental printers and plotters, these should be for the HP PageWide, HP DesignJet, and Xerox AltaLink models.

If you already have Mobility Print installed, we recommend that you remove it before installing Print Deploy. To do so, please see the Uninstallation guide below. Windows 10/11
  1. Download Download the Mobility Print Deploy client by copy and pasting client by clicking the following link in a new browser tab:  http://18.27.128.213:9191/print-deploy/client/windows Windows 
  2. Install the software by double-clicking on the .msi file in your Downloads folderOnce the install wizard is finished, open the software by right-clicking on the white printer icon in your menu bar and clicking 'View my printers'
MacOS:
  1. Download the Mobility Print Deploy client by copy and pasting client by clicking the following link in a new browser tab:  http://18.27.128.213:9191/print-deploy/client/macos macOS 
  2. Install the software by double-clicking on the .dmg file in your Downloads folder.  
  3. Next, you will need to also click on the .pkg file after opening the .dmg in order to run the installer.Open the software by right-clicking on one of the white printer icon in the menu tab (located at the top right hand corner of your screen, near the clock, WiFi and battery icons) and clicking 'View my printers'

If you would like to add copiers as well, click 'Add Printers', then 'Install' next to the color and black and white queues.

From there, please try printing to one either of the listed plotters or copiersinstalled virtual queuea, and you should be able to choose from a variety of Architectural and custom sizestap your MIT ID and release at any of the Papercut enabled copiers.

Badging In

Before being able to print with your MIT ID, you'll need to first 'associate' it with your Kerberos username and password. To do so, please see below:


  1. At either M07-344 or M07-433any Papercut enabled copier in KI, tap your card at the white sticker on the left side of the copier.
  2. When given the option to associate the card with an MIT account, tap 'yes'.

  3. Type in your Kerberos username and password when prompted.

  4. Your card should now be linked to your account, and can be used to release jobs at any copier or plotter.

Mac OS:
  1. In Finder, in Applications, navigate to and open the PaperCut Print Deploy Client or the PaperCut Mobility Print Client folder.
  2. Run Uninstall.command. A small Terminal window will open.
  3. After the prompt Would you like to uninstall PaperCut Print Deploy Client, type yes and press Enter on your keyboard.
  4. When prompted, enter your account password.

The software and the two print queues will be removed. When you see [Process completed], you can close the Terminal window. Once that's done, you should be able to remove the printers and their drivers.

  2. Remove all Papercut-managed printers and plotters, by left clicking the appropriate entry, then left-clicking the minus sign. 
  3. Then, open Finder. Hold down the Option key and click Go in the top menu pane, then click Library, then Printers. This is where the driver files themselves are, should any remain.
  4. Delete all remaining entries for Papercut-managed printers and plotters, if applicable. These should be for the HP PageWide, HP DesignJet, and Xerox AltaLink models.
Windows 10:
  1. Click the Home button, where a search box should then open up. 
  2. Type in "Add or remove programs" into the search box.
  3. Click 'Add or remove programs', then scroll down to 'Papercut Print Deploy'.
  4. Once there, left-click the app, then left-click 'Uninstall'.
