Before beginning, ensure you are properly connected to the MIT network.
- Navigate to crestaff.mit.edu in your preferred browser.
- On the menu on the left hand side, scroll to Information Technology and click the arrow to access the dropdown menu. Then, click on Software.
- Click on the Dropbox link on the Software page. If you cannot reach Dropbox this way, try using a different browser.
- Select the Printer Drivers folder in Dropbox and download the drivers for Windows.
- Navigate to the downloaded .zip in your files and extract it using 7-Zip (right-click > 7-Zip > Extract Here).
- Open extracted folder (most-likely called Driver) and run Setup64 application.
- Agree to the software end user license agreement, then select Install printers/MFPs.
- Do not allow the installer to search for printers/MFPs. After clicking cancel, select Specify manually.
- In Network, select IPv4, IPv6 address/IP Host name.
- In this field, type 'msred-copier.mit.edu', then click Next.
- From the dropdown menu, select Konica Minolta C368Series, then click Next.
- Click Install.
- After the installation has completed, try printing a test page. If the test page prints normally, the device is functioning normally; no further action is required.
- If the test page does not print, open your computer's control panel.
- Navigate to your hardware devices and find the printer ()
- Right click on the device and choose printer properties (note that this is not the same as properties).
- Select the Ports tab.
- Click Configure Port...
- Ensure that SNMP Status is disabled.
