Checklist
The following is a list of tasks to be performed whenever a CRE Faculty or Staff member leaves:
- Scan dropbox/infrastructure/inventory system/inventory.xlsx for any equipment owned/used by departing employee
- Remove employee from cre-dropbox dropbox team
- Scan coupahost for any equipment owned/used by departing employee
- Go through the following file locations with employee and assign ownership of any departmental folders/items to:
- Dropbox: Assign items to cre-dropbox or appropriate employee
- Google Workspace: Migrate to cre-dropbox or assign to appropriate employee
- Github
- SCL-NAS
- Supercloud
- Set up out of office email
- Set up call forwarding for the user's MIT phone number
- If user is going to a part-time basis or still needs access to their phone, adjust ring time to 10 seconds. This prevents the caller from having to wait ages to be forwarded.
- If user is departing MIT entirely, disconnect all call handling options and have all calls forwarded immediately.
- If employee is a receptionist, remove them from the shared call queue voicemail delegate
- If user is going to a part-time basis or still needs access to their phone, adjust ring time to 10 seconds. This prevents the caller from having to wait ages to be forwarded.
- Collect Keys
- Office keys
- Tech Cabinet Keys
- Moira groups
- Reassign ownership of owned groups
- Remove user from groups
- Check sponsored-accounts.mit.edu and reassign any necessary accounts
