Design

The soft goods attachment is a disk that fits into the nosecone on the sustainer. For the booster, the soft good attachment fits into the staging cone.

Features:

  • A center hole for the bolt that will anchor the piece to either the nose cone tip or the top of the staging cone
  • 4 holes spaced around the center hole to allow the soft goods to be threaded through

Fabrication:

  • Waterjet
  • Hammer

Dimensions and Material:

  • 1.02 in. diameter
  • 0.25 in. thickness
  • 0.25 in. diameter central hole
  • 0.22 in. diameter surrounding holes
  • Aluminum 6061

Extra Notes:

  • Tabs should not be too thick so that the part can be hammered out easily; only one is necessary
