Note: If your site does not have a Class page as shown below, you should create announcements in Stellar.

 

In Learning Modules, there are two places to create announcements within the Class section.

Option A: Create announcements from Dashboard

  1. Click on Class in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on Dashboard (if you are not already directed there).
  3. Click on + Add Content.
  4. Click on Announcement.

Option B: Create announcements from Class Info

  1. Click on Class in the top navigation bar.
  2. Click on Class Info (if you are not already directed there).
  3. Click on the + button on the line across from Announcements.

Announcement creation window

  1. Enter your announcement into the first text box.
    1. Note: If you are copying text from a source with text formatting, such as Microsoft Word, we advise removing formatting before pasting any text. We recommend composing in a plain text editor, such as Notepad or TextEdit.
  2. Enter a title for your announcement.
  3. If your class has sections, select if the announcement should go to a section, or to the entire class.
  4. Select if you would like to email the announcement to the class.
  5. When you are finished, click + Add Announcement at the bottom.
