Post-workshop Analysis & Data
Among the data captured from the IC Feb. 23rd Workshop were descriptions of tools, teaching or research practices, and usage patterns that could be made easier, more effective, or radically transform education, research, and community life at MIT.
People assigned to review and do a preliminary clustering of expressed interests were, by category:
- Education / Phil Long
- Research / Dennis Baron
- Community / Oliver Thomas
The outcome was to describe higher order categories that the expressions of future state might reasonably group around. Secondary to this metadata tags needed to be proposed that describe attributes of these categories along dimensions that further inform their meaning and impact.
Priniciple Categories for Education summarizes the resulting analysis and metadata.
Principle Categories for Research summarizes the resulting analysis and metadata.
Principle Categories for Community summarizes the resulting analysis and metadata.
Themes and Technologies of interest were collected at the close of the workshop.
