Design 1

My first design focuses on family members taking ownership of different tasks. Parents can create tasks and track who has claimed them and what tasks have yet to be claimed.

The idea behind this is to make children be responsible rather than make the parent have to assign everything, which creates conflict.

In addition, there is a timeline which shows the tasks which are coming up next, which should let a parent know if something needs to be assigned or done.

Design 2

This is an iteration on my design 1. This has a direct manipulation approach, and kids can directly drag tasks into only their own tab.

In addition, there is now a "stats" page that shows different fairness metrics. This is to encourage children into doing more tasks.

Design 3

Design 3 is a totally different approach. I decided to approach this from a "priority" point of view. This would work well if the family is very busy and doesn't really care too much about fairness, just things getting done.

Tasks can be assigned as they are created, and they are organized chronologically. Hence, Cleaning Bathroom should be done before Wash Dishes.
