Install and configure XAMPP 1.7.1 for Windows

PREREQUISITES

You must have downloaded XAMPP 1.7.1, the Basic Package (do not use the Lite version). Besure to download the exe self-extracting RAR archive.

Overview

1. Download and install XAMPP 1.7.1

Instructions for installing XAMPP for Windows is found at http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html#522. In The Installation section, follow the instructions for Method A.
