Broadcasting and recording bird vocalizations through cellular telephone channels. A simple yet powerful idea with strong repercussions in conservation projects, born out of the need to automate and facilitate bird population surveys. Of interests is the non-trivial, broadcast quality bird vocalization analysis and synthesis and leveraging the harsh cellular channel for transmitting bird vocalizations.
