Agenda:
- Design
- Lots of good feedback was posted on the wiki site
- The choice was Design Option 3, which featured dynamic images, a green arrow and a bulls-eye.
- Several design elements from the other options are to be incorporated as well, the most significant being the dome image from Option 1.
- The full list of change requests have been posted on the NEO wiki on the Design page.
- Other comments:
- We need to address the "contact us" function. Benefits encourages employees with questions to do the following:
- Check the Benefits web site
- Send email to Benefit
- Phone
- We should identify a solution consistent with this.
- Wing deliberately did not include a footer to any of the pages, as that complicates the pages for the users.
- Kathleen pointed out the functional confusion of having the standard link to "Benefits" appear at the top of each page
- We need to address the "contact us" function. Benefits encourages employees with questions to do the following:
- Multi-Media Overviews-
- We plan to hold auditions for performing the multi-media voice overs
- Current audition plans are posted on the NEO wiki site under the NEO Multi-Media link
- Kathleen expressed concern over the sequence of topics; the NEO site-map is not necessarily the order that the topics will appear. We need to identify the proper sequence.
- Kath was interested in exploring various forms of animation to help personalize the overviews. Tom pointed out the major increase in development complexity to implement this. For this phase of the project, any animation will have to be implemented through PowerPoint.
- Writing Content
- Kath expressed the desire to make the multi-media scripts personal (vs. a dry description of each subject)
- Multi-media script planning- after some false starts, we decided to develop a schedule after the meeting.
- Action Items
- Kath will provide some suggestions on the URL name
- N.B. Laurie Bryce suggests either "Hello" or "Welcome-to-MIT" with "Hello" being an redirect URL.
- Multi-media schedule development - Ken
- Consult with Laurie re: changing the "Benefits" link on the banner - Ken
- Kath will provide some suggestions on the URL name
