Confluence provides \( \LaTeX \) support through a MathJax Confluence Plugin. Two marcos are provided, one for in line math, e.g. \( \frac{x}{y} \) , and \( e^x \) , and one for displayed math, e.g.

\[ \begin{bmatrix} \dot x\\ \dot y\end{bmatrix} = \begin{bmatrix}a_{1,1} & a_{1,2}\\ a_{2,1} & a_{2,2}\end{bmatrix} \begin{bmatrix}x\\ y\end{bmatrix} \]

The AMS Math packages are supported. To see how this was done, just click "Tools" (in the top right corner) then "View Wiki Markup."
