After several weeks of very cold weather and lake effect snow piling up in Chicago, a large low pressure area came up from the Gulf of Mexico around 12/25, bringing warm weather and lots of rain. Fortunately, a cold front followed shortly behind, so we had a return to the usual holiday weather.
