Changes between prototypes
As a result of the first round of testing, we decided to increase the visibility of the interface, underscoring the difference between editable, boilerplate text (in light pencil) and the dark, already entered text. We also added visual feedback on the hover (which we indicated to the user as they were moving their hand over the paper). Finally, we increased the size of some of the icons to increase their visibility. We found that these changes reduced the confusion that users had with the initial tasks.
We also provided clearer instructions and feedback (in the form of the facilitator), which helped us get better feedback.
