There are a number of different roles that users can have when they access MUMMS, and this affects the functionality they can use. Here are a few roles and some of the operations they can perform.

- Signoff on some prerequisites for services.

Supervisor | - View their users and computers
- Approve or deny changes for new users
- Assign cost objects for payment of charges for their users
- View and modify a list of administrators who can perform these operations on their behalf

Supervisor Administrators | - View their supervisors' users and computers
- Approve or deny changes for their supervisors' new users
- Assign cost objects for payment of charges for their supervisors' users

Coral | MUMMS tracks information on Fab services, prerequisites and cost objects and communicates this information to the Fab management system, Coral. Typical changes in MUMMS that would affect a user in Coral include: - Creation of a new user in Coral when they have the requirements for a Fab related service
- Updating of the projects and accounts that a user can choose from when engaging a machine in Coral.

MIT Data Warehouse | MUMMS pulls information from the Data Warehouse in order to have the latest data regarding: - EHS safety training of users
- MIT departments
- Campus cost objects (charge accounts) and their owners

MTL Cost Recovery and MIT SAP | MUMMS provides information to the Cost Recovery system which generates charges for lab services. These charges are then uploaded to MIT SAP. |
