Image Modified Wikis
The wiki service is available to the MIT community and its guests and collaborators. The MIT Wiki Service is intended for use by MIT academic, administrative, research, and student groups. The MIT Wiki Service uses a product named Confluence from Atlassian Software.
The Wikis are collaborative in nature and facilitate community building within a course (see below video Wikis in Plain English). With wikis, students have an opportunity to create – together – much of the course content. Wikis shift your students from 'consumer of knowledge' to 'creators of knowledge,' which is a great way to encourage your students to develop critical thinking skills, to learn from one another, and to improve their ability to work in groups.
