when the main nav button is rollovered, a preview of the lower level topic will be revealed and they will also be clickable. because of my limited html skill, i can't program it for the design review. so i made a separated page to show the sub nav rollover effect:http://www.inkd.net/dl/mit/neo/r02/neo_r02B_rollover.html

quick note about lower level page nav rollover
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
i would like to suggest to keep the rollover simple for the main nav.
having the sub nav appear as the main nav. rollover, may create confusion.
here is a sketch to show how the graphic will look like (as a negative sample):http://www.inkd.net/dl/mit/neo/r02/neo_r02_special.html

MIT Community Bubble - functional description
MIT Community Bubble - content
Design approach 3 is our preferred base design. We particularly liked:
the graphics images (arrow and bullseye)
the horizontal orientation of the secondary page links
the balloon shaped Community object with the vertical orientation of "Community"
the web site name branding
Requested Enhancements:
1. For the top page, rather than the dynamic people/place images, have the "You Are Here" Dome image as a static image. It was this image that made design approach 1 the initial favorite.
2. Use "You are here" instead of "You're here" in the Dome image.
3. On the children pages, display a single people/place image that changes upon reload. (This may have been part of your original concept.) We should have a large variety of strong images to support this.
4. On the secondary pages, for the text that appears in the larger font, use a different, bright color.
5. Please exclude the "Ambulance" image from your set of images.
6. Substitute "New Employee Orientation" for "New Employees Orientation"
7. Please substitute "See the Sites" for "Resources".
Other Ideas/Challenges
1. The MIT Logo displays off the monitor screen on the secondary/tertiary pages. We need to find a way to elevate and enlarge the logo.
2. The overall "shape and feel" is a little blocky/horizontal. Ideas to add some contrasting roundness would help; e.g., someone suggested cutting out the photograph to fit bullseye.
3. To facilitate navigation, would it be possible to implement a rollover menu effect on the top page for the secondary page links? And on the secondary pages, for the other secondary page links, have the same rollover effect?
