General Overview
Three Primary Components:
- Base plate
- weld to ring holding motor
- use aluminum plate to be able to weld
- Motor case
- machine lip at bottom (+0.4 in)
- machine 0.5-in nub, then thread
- Thick ring to hold motor
- hole in bottom and thread it to screw on the motor case
- radial bolts that interface w motor
- two rings (to be bolted together)
- ring 1: OD = 4 in, ID = 3.4 in
- ring 2: OD = 4 in, ID = 3 in
- if bottom fails what happens to top?
- have another ring on top that surround motor case
- top layer holding onto top of case
- hole in the center
- keep in place w/ eye bolts and ratchet straps
