According to the constitution, the President should run meetings if the Chair is absent. In addition, the President is responsible for interpreting the constitution. It is exceptionally rare that situations arise in which this responsibility is relevant. At such times, you may wish to consult with other Senior members of the ensemble. Ultimately, use your best judgement.

Make sure the director and any other professionals from outside MIT are treated with respect and treat the ensemble with respect. Though the producer will usually handle this, it is ultimately the responsibility of the President.
