I was researching size as a potential regualtory factor for cod. Thus far I found an article that relates maturity-at-age, sex ratio, and potential egg production; I also intend to read some of the sources cited by this article as further points of research. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out some relationship between size and fertility especially and also the relationship between size and commercial value. Ideally, we should be able to find out which sizes of fish would be least detrimental to the population dynamic if removed. Looking at successful size regulations for other types of fish (especially sport fish which are tightly regulated by states) may provide ideas or insight.
