Pet Clinics

Mashpee Veterinary Hospital

430 Great Neck Rd. North, Mashpee; 508-477-9291. Good vets who are up to date on current diagnostics, testing, etc. They are also very nice and will give you lots of details on what’s ailing your buddy. Costs a little more for routine care than some other places, but worth it for annual exams and illnesses.

Deer Run Veterinary Services

168 Teaticket Hwy., Falmouth; 508-548- 3406. Hours: Mon–Fri 9:00–17:00, Sat 9:00–noon. Open yearround. Do NOT use except for emergencies and routine vaccinations. If you do have to use them, make sure you get one of the younger vets who are more up to date on diagnostics.

West Falmouth Veterinary Clinic

593 West Falmouth Hwy (Route 28A), W. Falmouth; 508-540-5728. Hours: Mon–Fri 8:30–noon, 15:00–17:00, Sat 8:30–noon. Open year-round.

South Cape Veterinary Clinic

435 Waquoit Highway, East Falmouth; 508-457-7771. Excellent veterinary care, located onRte. 28.

Buzzards Bay Veterinary Associates

230 Main St., Buzzards Bay, MA, Tel: 508-759-2521, Fax: 508-759-6782. Hours: Mon. - Thurs. 9am -8pm, Fri. & Sat. 9am - 5pm. This vet is a bit more expensive than some other ones, but they are very, very good, and very cutting-edge in veterinary medicine. I believe they have some specialists as well. They tend to use nicer vaccines (e.g. cat vaccines for cats, even for rabies) and are very thorough.
