Task 1

  • taking a little while to get used to menu...
    • guessed other options are for collegetech specific things
    ....
    • not sure about stories being from students or tourists
    ...and
    • not sure if feedback was to Claire or app itself.
  • Decided to go to “tour” option since first one*.*
  • "home" and "back seems " options seem either confusing or redundant
  • assumed pic was Claire but didn't know for sure.
  • thought that questions in the queue were already questions that have been asked..... pre chosen by app or questions popular in the past
  • clicked attempted to click on a question does nothing...figured out it was just text and not clickable
  • assumed questions had been asked already or answered.....
  • *.*thought questions in queue bottom of list....thought questions were questions he’s asked in the past

Task 2

  • wait to see if question gets answered
  • if it doesn’t get answered....then raise hand or continue to wait
  • tried type question into the interface (black students at collegetech)...
  • if she’s answering what is dining....realized that the list of questions = queue....and so would rather ask her directly
  • wouldnt want to rely completely on app...focused on direct interaction with her
  • remembered there was a stats page and chose not to use it
  • looked at stats page, tapped on graph to see next graph (picked up on affordance)

Task 3

  • right now thinking back and home does same thing, but if went deeper back would take to prev page and home take to home page (although right now they both do same thing)--- from prev app use and what he would expect
  • clicked on google tech talk ....on "Events" page, text and image.....does nothing

Task 4

...

  • clicked home this time

...

  • to get back to main menu
  • clicked evan’s picture

...

  • on "Stories" page
  • assumed text was unclickable after previous use on app
  • clicking on business icon....(80% and 20% the pie chart icon confused him)
  • confused about what previous button
  • chose david on stories because that was the only story on management school
  • at whatat "what" field, says “I want to schedule a meetup” and found it to be redundant
  • didnt didn't want to give phone number because uncomfortable (wanted to cancel)

Task 5

  • saw no way to give her specific feedback....woud would like that
  • * didn’t want to use any of the stars or sliders (would swipe for stars, drag or click for sliders)

OVERALL FEEDBACK

  • business image confusing* clicking business confused him (because we didn’t set up stories correctly in our prototype)
  • qualifying text about phone number would be more comfortable...maybe more comfortable
  • confused with “when” option (guy has no classes on mondays...or if he had chosen a time that the guy would have flaked).what if student can't make time?)
  • ”what” was confusing. “why” would make more sense
  • inconsistency with text for rest of site was annoying (considering general stas/faqs text is clickable)second time around realized graphs could slide
  • queue => once it became clear that it was that, would have taken it off and just asked tour guide in person
  • would use app → like the student meet ups option, but would be surprised that people would follow through
  • confused with events → cause who would want to rush or invite high schoolers"events" page: why would people want prospective students at events?
  • liked "General Stats" Page: liked general info --> because nice to have at the touch of your fingers rather then than going to site
  • would use it for everything but interacting with tour guide unless wanting to ask an uncomfortable question.....weirded out worried that name might be associated with questions you ask on queuecomparing schools → cant do that...have to check into tour to get to a page
  • would rather no check in....like to see info for all colleges, even if not on tour.
