- For IS&T, CM is simply the ability to document changes to hardware and software (we are not assessing changes at this juncture)
- The aim is to minimize the number and impact of any related incidents upon service (minimize risk)
- We need the ability to trace incidents and problems back to a particular change (triage and root cause)
