ESET
Windows
- Remove any antivirus software that may currently be installed on your machine.
- Download the appropriate MSI of ESET for your architecture
- Double click the MSI file and accept all the default prompts.
- Once ESET is installed, right-click on the eye icon in the taskbar and select "Advanced Setup..."
- Expand the "Tools" section and select "Remote Administration"
- Check the box "Connect to Remote Administration Server"; set the interval to "0"; and enter "eset.mit.edu" as the server address
- Your ESET client will now contact our Console and pickup a license
OS X
- Remove any antivirus software that may currently be installed on your machine
- Download the file named "esets_remote_install.pkg.zip" and expand its contents
- Move the packed named "esets_remote_install.pkg" to your Desktop
- Open Terminal.app and run the following command:
sudo installer -pkg ~/Desktop/esets_remote_install.mpkg -target /
- ESET will now silently install in the background. When you see the green ESET icon in the menubar, the install has completed (approx. time to complete: 120 seconds)
- In the lower left-hand corner of the ESET window, select "Activate Advanced Mode"
- From the left, select "Setup" and click "Enter Application Preferences" from the advanced Window

- Download sophos-win.zip and expand its contents
- In the folder "SAVSCFXP" run "setup.exe" accepting the default prompts

- In the folder "ESCOSX" run "Sophos Anti-Virus.mpkg" accepting the default prompts
