This design takes its cue from the now-ubiquitous "omni-bar" on modern web browsers that takes any input (urls or search terms) and intelligently decides the proper thing to do. In this case, searching for any term brings up a summary pane with all relevant actions. For example, searching for a student name automatically filters the package, guest, and items accordion lists and provides easy access to adding packages, checking in guests, and checking out items.

design 3

This design is intended for mobile interfaces. Different tasks are available by "app" launcher screen. Each "app" allows the user to browse, add, and remove entries from a particular category: packages, items, or guests.
