Currently many districts still audit the results of elections by hand. This process is tedious and difficult for many reasons: it is difficult to keep ballots organized, users have to record votes while comparing them to the machine's results, and the process must be done quickly without mistakes because correcting errors is very difficult. Ballot counters need an efficient way to audit election results by hand, one which has a better interface, greater efficiency, and error-correcting capabilities.
