The fact that the development for release 2 may be six months or so means that the final branch->trunk merge in approach 2 may be a complex and difficult task. For this reason, we tentatively decided to go with option 1. Before a final decision, we must examine what changes are needed for apps that currently use CSF and make sure the impact is not too big.
Outstanding Task
For apps that currently use CSF, like IAP and Sponsor Billing, what changes are needed for them to continue to use the 1.0.x release of CSF while release 2 is under development?
- Any changes needed to the project POM files?
- Can Bamboo still work for these apps?
- Can Moves handle builds off of a branch of CSF?
