  1. Go to the Oracle Java Archive download site.  Scroll down until you reach the Java SE section.
  2. Select Java SE 6.
  3. Scroll down to and select Java SE Development Kit 6u27 .
  4. Accept the License Agreement.
  5. From the list of Product / File Description, select the desired JDK and download it to your workstation.

and select either Maven 2.2.1 (Binary tar.gz) or Maven 2.2.1 (Binary zip).  Select a Mirror and save the downloaded file on your workstation.
