Why develop a Business Case?
A business case provides justification for approving a project, outlines the benefit and drivers for the business, the investment value in relation to other projects, and helps assess the project's impact on resources.
Steps:
- Identify: Facilitate gathering of information through the business
- Analyze and Understand: Document the information, analyse, and validate through the business
- Initiate: Submit business case in conjunction with project cost template to FBC and obtain necessary approvals

Purpose of Project | |
General Description of Proposed Project: Provide a brief description and a summary of the project.
This project automates the end to end process for creating, changing and terminating hourly student appointments. The project includes creating a new front end and automating the update to SAP.
Drivers: _Describe the customer needs (internal or external) that would be met. What business problem does this solve?

Reduces dual and triple data entry
Improves turnaround processing time
Initial Scope: _Identify business functions that must be included in the project and, if known, functions that are definitely out of scope.
