  1. Be sure that there are no camera-related programs on the computer
    1. If so, quit the programs and turn off the camera
    2. Quitting the camera programs may take a minute
  2. Turn on the Camera and switch to "play" mode 
  3. The CameraWindowDVC+ program will start on the computer
    1. Click on the remote shooting tab 
    2. Click the image next to "Starts Remote Shooting"
    3. A finder window will pop up: Choose the "Gel Doc" folder OR save to Images folder in Dropbox for Cloud Access
    4. The RemoteCapture program will start
  4. Click the "Start ViewFinder" image on the middle-right side of the program.  The image looks like the back of a camera.  This will show you the picture that you are taking
  5. Under the Field angle/flash tab
    1. Turn Macro ON
    2. Turn Flash off
  6. Under the Shooting settings tab
    1. Switch the AE mode to "Manual" 
      1. Make the AV as large as possible
      2. Make the TV as large as possible
  7. Zoom in using the slide-bar on the right side of the program
  8. Adjust your gel and (gently!) twist the camera to center the image
  9. Hit the button under "Release" to take your image
  10. The image will save to the "Gel Doc" folder on the desktop.
  11. Adjust the AV and TV settings to optimize the exposure level (Step 6)
