MIT is and has been seen as a leader in many domains, and IS&T, in particular, is a leader in the IT community through the work of its staff in a wide variety of national and international organizations. The following lists the many organizations in which IS&T staff have held leadership positions in furthering MIT's mission.

2010 Activities

  • Susan Vogt Leadership Fellows Program (Boston Consortium) - Patricia Sheppard completed the program in May and is currently serving on the Advisory Board for the next two years

2009 Activities

  • NERCOMP -- Matthew Burfeind has been named to the NERCOMP Annual Conference Program Committee, assigned to the Enterprise Services and Administrative Systems conference track
  • Program Management Office special interest group(SIG) -- a component of the Project Management Institute.  Darlene Fladager has been appointed to serve as the Director of Analytics to support the review and expansion of SIG membership.
  • Higher Education Data Warehousing Formun a network of higher education colleagues dedicated to promoting the sharing of knowledge and best practices regarding knowledge management in colleges and universities, including building data warehouses, developing institutional reporting strategies, and providing decision support.  Members:
