Overview
Black Rock desert has been described as the best amateur launch site in the planet. It is a dry lakebed with almost no surrounding towns. The large, flat area makes recovery operations much simpler. Motor vehicles can be used to assist in recovery operations. The FAA is comfortable granting very high waivers to flights from this site. The closest town is Gerlach NV.
