2007 Activities

  •  Boston Consortium:  Christine Fitzgerald founded the IT/Libraries Communications and Outreach Group in collaboration with the Consortium and colleagues from Brandeis and Boston College.  Group launched with 1st meeting November 2007.
  • The Common Solutions Group: A group composed of senior technologists and managers from 25 major research universities dedicated to developing common solutions for problems/challenges facing their institutions. IS&T Contributors and contribution:
    • MIT will host the meeting in September, 2007.
    • Paul Hill and Jerry Grochow represent MIT on a regular basis.

  • Relationship/Account Management Community of Practice: Steve Winig continued as the chair of this group of leaders of Relationship Management and Account Management programs within both university and industry environments. Members of the group participated in a panel discussion at Educause 2007.
  • KUALI Student Service System: now that MIT has officially joined this multi-university collaborative software development effort as a Partner, JoAnne Stevenson and Scott Thorne are playing leadership roles on behalf of the MIT contribution to the project, in the business analysis and services architecture capacities, respectively.
