Finding information on projects through e-Builder is necessary , but can often become very time consuming. Using reports, information on multiple projects can be found in one place on a page that can be loaded in seconds , rather than going to each project page individually. The information shown in the report is related to the criteria the report is designed to pull from. For example, the report Project Schedule Milestone Report shows information regarding the important dates of in a project's schedule. In addition to the information found pulled by the report, more information can be found on individual projects by accessing the project 's page directly from the report.

Searching for individual projects requires you to find the project through the project tab by and then searching using the project's name or number. Once at you are in the project's page, the desired information must be searched for in one or more of the project's modules or processes. This can take between 1-1.5 minutes. A 2 minutes. However, using reports is faster and easier. For example, a report can be found from the report tab through a simple process which takes between 11-15 seconds, and immediately shows all the desired information pulled by the report on multiple projects. Because reports compile all the desired information in one place, using one will always be faster than finding the same information for multiple projects in each project's page individually.

Reports Rely on Accurate and Timely Updates

The information that the reports display is pulled directly from the e-Builder system. As such, the quality of the information shown is more helpful and accurate the more frequently the users update data in e-Builder is updated.
