Each of these processes can be used to enter estimates that appear in the cost module in the appropriately named column.The processes allow the PM to enter estimated values for the budget and without an approval cycle add the numbers to the Cost Module.corresponding Cost module column. An estimate cannot be submitted for approval. To enter a budget and gain approval use the 3.01 process.
Using these processes the project manager can:
- Upload budget estimates without a sequence of approval steps. Whatever is submitted will appear in the Cost module immediately.
- Ask for input or review of the budget from others by directing them to view the Cost module.
- Repeatedly upload versions of each estimate and replace the previous estimates.
- Attach supporting documentation to an estimate.
