- The competition will be a tournament style bracket, single elimination, with points awarded depending on when a team exits the tournament
- There are three potential outcomes to a match: win, lose, or tie
- A tie occurs if two minutes have passed and there is no clear winner
- In the event of a tie, the judges will use their discretion to determine a winner based on the movement of the ribbon
- If a bot drops the rope, a 5 point deduction will be assessed.
- If a bot drops the rope twice in the same match, it will result in a disqualification
- The team member will have two minutes to set up and attach the rope to their bot. Over two minutes will incur a penalty of -3 points.
- If a robot goes out of bounds (off the board), a penalty will be incurred of -3 points.

- First round elimination - 10 5 points
- Second round elimination - 15 points
- Third round elimination - 20 30 points
- Fourth round elimination - 30 50 points
- Winner - 45 75 points
