In 2013, the ASA required Tech Squares to say in the constitution that the President and Treasurer must be students. Rather than just make the change and not follow it, the positions of Vice President and Vice Treasurer where created. These were optional positions that were only elected if the President or Treasurer requested them. This allowed non-students to act as President or Treasurer (including getting a vote on the EC) while following ASA rules.

In 2009, EC votes to have Class Coordinator & Class Assistants get free subscriptions when there is a class due to them doing a lot of work and not getting to dance much (but this policy to be renewed each year)
